The police helicopter successfully tracked the white car on Goldmine Road, Ormeau and alerted ground crews to its location.

Police on the ground gave chase and followed the car onto Lahrs Road and proceeded onto the northbound lanes of the Pacific Motorway where officers were forced to terminate the pursuit at around 1:54pm.

The white Corolla was found minutes later dumped in the carpark of the Logan Hyperdome.

Officers are still looking for the two drivers and the second blue Corolla.

It’s understood the blue Corolla was last seen being driven by a man wearing a red cap on Tamborine-Oxenford Road shortly after the initial break and enter.

The driver of the white Corolla is described as wearing a black cap and having a distinctive tattoo on his hand.
