Police think two armed robberies in Logan and Brisbane are linked

Detectives investigating the armed robbery of a service station in Heathwood, just off the Logan Motorway, and an attempted armed robbery in Forestdale believe they are linked.

Initial investigations indicate at around 3.45am on Saturday two men entered a service station on Johnson Road, Forestdale.

Both men have produced knives and threatened the 25-year-old staff member demanding cash and cigarettes.

The men left empty handed when they were unable to gain access to the console area.

Just before 4am the same two men have entered a service station at Stapylton Road, Heathwood. They produced knives and threatened the 19-year-old employee demanding cash.

They pair stole cash and fled the scene in a dark coloured sedan.

Neither employee was physically injured during the incident.
