Biggest drug bust in Logan’s history

POLICE have uncovered a large drug ring in Logan discovering more than $850,000 worth of drugs and mass amounts of cash.

ABC reports, about 35 kilograms of cannabis worth $840,000 was seized along with nearly a kilogram of amphetamines, which has a street value of about $15,000 and $110,000 in cash was also uncovered, police said.

Logan District Detective Inspector Christopher Jory said it was a highly-sophisticated drug network, describing the bust as one of the biggest in Logan’s history.


So far 27 people have been arrested on 55 charges.

It is alleged they were trafficking drugs in and around the Logan area as well as other parts of the state.
