Police and volunteers from the State Emergency Service have spent the day combing the 29 acre property for clues.
It is not known how long the body has been there, or by whom it was found.
An autopsy is expected to reveal more information and determine the cause of death once the body is exhumed.
The vacant land has been used as a dumping ground for at least 12 months after the bank repossessed the property.
It is now listed for sale as a “charming rural property” and has recently been placed under contract.
No further information was available at the time of writing.
