A popular Australian apple juice sold at supermarkets across the country has been recalled over microbial contamination fears.
Nudie Foods issued the recall of its Nudie nothing but 2 apples 200ml juice on Thursday.
“The recall is due to microbial (mycotoxin – patulin) contamination,” Food Standards Australia New Zealand said.

“Food products containing the mycotoxin patulin may cause illness if consumed.”
The juice has been available for sale at Woolworths stores across Australia and independent food retailers including IGA.
The affected batch has a best before date of June 18, 2021.
“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice and should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund,” the recall notice said.
