Several baby rattles sold at a number of popular stores across the country have been urgently recalled due to choking fears.
The Playgro blue Clip Clop Activity Rattle and pink Clopette Activity Rattle have been pulled from sale over serious safety concerns.
According to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, the “abacus ring on the horse’s back may dislodge and release the small beads”.

“Small parts may pose a choking or suffocation hazard for young children,” the ACCC said in a recall notice for the rattles.
The recall only affects the rattles with batch numbers 009837, 009986, 010066 and 010199, which can be found at the top of the products tag.
The affected rattles have been available for sale from Myer, Chemist Warehouse and Baby Bunting between 1 August 2020 and 31 January 2021.
Parents are being urged to stop using the product immediately and to contact Playgro to organise a replacement.
