A popular block of chocolate has been recalled from Aldi stores around Australia.
A recall notice posted on the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission website says Hershey’s 113g Cookies ‘n’ Creme chocolate blocks have been pulled from sale due to the presence of undeclared allergens.
“Presence of an undeclared allergens (wheat/gluten) and possible presence of almonds, which are not declared in the allergen statement,” the recall notice reads.

“Consumers with a wheat/gluten allergy or intolerance or an almond allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if this product is consumed.”
The recalled chocolate blocks have the following batch numbers: 96E0913, 12S0911 and 12S0913 and a best before date of 03/2018 and 05/2018.
The chocolate was sold at Aldi stores in the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia between 17 June 2017 – 21 June 2017.
Customers have been urged to return the chocolate to the place of purchase for a full refund.
