TWO popular dining chairs have been recalled over fears they may break whilst people are sitting on them – with customers being urged to return the chairs so that they can have a support bracket installed on them.
Furniture giant Fantastic Furniture issued the recall of their Tara Dining Chair and Toto Dining Chair on Wednesday.
“There is a risk the chairs are unstable. Toto and Tara Dining Chair legs may break during use,” the notice, posted on the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission website reads.

“Possible risk of collapse during use, which may result in injury.”
The chairs have been available for sale at at Fantastic Furniture stores nationwide and online. The Tara Chair was sold between June 2018 and May 2019, whilst the Toto chair was sold between December 2015 and May 2019.
People are being told to stop using the chairs until Fantastic Furniture can install support brackets to them.
