Popular protein ball recalled over plastic fears

A popular protein ball sold at supermarkets across the country has been recalled over fears it could contain plastic.

The cashew caramel flavoured Bounce Foods protein ball, with a best before date of 21/07/21, has been pulled from shelves due to possible presence of foreign matter, Food Standards Australia said.

“Food products containing plastic may cause injury if consumed,” the recall notice reads.

People are being urged not to eat the product and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
