Prang stops traffic in Southport

A MULTI-vehicle crash has stopped traffic on the Gold Coast Highway in Southport.

It’s understood two cars came to grief where the highway meets Ada Bell Way about 4pm.

Paramedics are on the scene, assessing four people.

Queensland Ambulance said two patients are believed to have “seat-belt related injuries”.

Their genders, ages, and conditions were not immediately known.

The prang is believed to be blocking at least one southbound lane of the highway.

It’s causing headaches for motorists who have found themselves caught in a traffic jam.

Traffic heading into Surfers is lined up along the highway, all the way back to the Aquatic Centre, while drivers trying to get onto the highway from Ada Bell Way are also feeling the sting.
