Predator warning for flood areas in Northern Territory

Authorities are warning of crocodiles lurking in floodwaters near townships in the Northern Territory following wild Christmas weather.

This floodwater has allowed saltwater crocodiles to swim further to towns with residents reporting several sightings of the predator in the flooded Daly River region.

Locals reported seeing a saltwater crocodile drag two dog bodies away as more crocodiles were spotted from helicopters as they evacuated the town.
