Pregnant woman found dead outside hospital in remote mining town

A pregnant woman has been found dead outside a hospital in the small mining town of Newman in Western Australia.

It’s understood the woman’s body was discovered in the early hours of this morning, with police called to Newman Hospital just after 4.00am.

According to WA Today, the body was found inside a wheelie bin, although police are yet to confirm this.

Local media say a man has since been taken into custody.

Investigations into the shock discovery are ongoing.

Newman is a fly-in-fly-out mining town with a population of around 7200 people.
