Pregnant woman hospitalised after crashing car into fast food drive-thru

A PREGNANT woman has been hospitalised after crashing her car into the wall of a drive-thru restaurant in Sydney’s west overnight.

The accident happened just after 10.00pm, at a fast food restaurant on Elizabeth Drive, near Smithfield Road, at Bonnyrigg Heights.

The driver of the car, a 24-year-old woman and her male passenger miraculously managed to escape uninjured.

Police said the woman was however taken to Fairfield Hospital as a precaution due to being pregnant.

She was breath tested at the scene and returned a negative result.

Inquires into the crash are ongoing.
