Premier increases cabinet in reshuffle

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has added another four ministers and two assistant ministers to her cabinet in a reshuffle.

It come less than one year after forming government.

Stirling Hinchliffe, Grace Grace, Leanne Donaldson, Mick De Brenni, Mark Ryan and Jennifer Howard will join her new-look cabinet.

But the reshuffle also stripped some ministers of portfolios.

Deputy Premier Jackie Trad loses transport, Treasurer Curtis Pitt loses employment and industrial relations, Education Minister Kate Jones loses Commonwealth Games responsibilities and Innovation Minister Leeanne Enoch loses housing and public works.

Communities, Women and Youth Minister Shannon Fentiman has also handed over her multicultural affairs portfolio.

Meanwhile, Jo-Ann Miller resigned as police, emergency services and corrective services minister last week.
