Premier tells journalists to “chill out” over QLD election

The wait for the Queensland state election continues with Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, telling journalists to “chill out” about the timing of the vote.

The Premier dodged questions this morning at Brisbane airport about when she wanted to call the vote and whether she had delayed a decision because of the latest poor polling results.

However, she brushed the questions aside.

“The only people asking me about the election are journalists,” she said.

“Not one member of the public has come up to me and asked me about the election.

“Let’s  stop the speculation, everybody just chill out, let’s relax, we’ve got a lot of work to do.”

At this stage, the election is due for early next year and it must be held by May at the very latest.
