Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Prince Philip will spend a few more days in the hospital, as he battles an infection.
The 99-year-old was admitted to London’s King Edward VII Hospital over a week ago now as a precautionary measure for a couple of days.
But when he hadn’t been discharged by the weekend and took an unusual visit from his son Prince Charles, worries for his health grew.

The Palace has now confirmed that he’s being treated for an infection, that will require him to spend several more days in hospital.
Their recent statement says that he is comfortable and responding to treatment.
“The Duke of Edinburgh remains at King Edward VII’s Hospital where he is receiving medical attention for an infection.
“He is comfortable and responding to treatment but is not expected to leave hospital for several days.”
