A man who escaped from a correctional centre last year has been arrested in the Hunter Region.
About 9pm on Tuesday 27 October 2015, two prisoners reportedly escaped from the minimum security correctional centre at Glen Innes.
One man was detained by a correctional officer on Gwydir Highway, about 6am the following day.

Despite extensive searches, the other man, now aged 34, could not be located.
Police will allege the man robbed a department store and a supermarket at Kempsey, while armed with a shortened firearm, on Monday 2 November 2015.
Detectives from State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad and Mid North Coast Local Area Command established Strike Force Mirool to investigate the incidents and locate the man.
About 1.40pm yesterday, officers arrested the man in Steele Street, Newcastle.
Following a search of the man, officers seized a 12-gauge shotgun, ammunition and cannabis seeds.
He was taken to Newcastle Police Station and charged with inmate escape lawful custody, possess ammunition without authority, possess prohibited drug, and two counts of robbery whilst armed with dangerous weapon.
He has been refused bail to appear at Newcastle Local Court today.
