It comes as the coronavirus cluster linked to the Youth Detention Centre today increased to 11, with one further confirmed case overnight.

The new case is a close contact of someone who had already tested positive, but officials say they are not concerned as that person was already in isolation.

EARLIER @ August 25 | Queensland Health has added to the list of venues where cases of coronavirus visited while potentially infectious.

It comes after authorities issued a major public health alert on Sunday following the state’s latest outbreak of coronavirus.

One new case was reported yesterday, bringing the cluster linked to the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre to ten.

Of those, five of them are employees of the centre, while another five are relatives.

Queensland Health has once again updated it’s list of locations, and is urging anyone who was at the locations at the following times to get tested if they show any sort of symptoms.

EARLIER @ August 23, 6.00 PM | Queensland Health has expanded its list of venues where cases of the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre cluster visited while potentially infectious.

It comes after authorities issued a major public health alert on Sunday following the state’s latest outbreak of coronavirus.

A further two new cases linked to the growing cluster at the Youth Detention Centre were recorded on Saturday, taking the total number of cases associated with the outbreak to nine.

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has confirmed the cases have been out in the community in the past few weeks, sparking fears of further community transmission.

Health Authorities have now compiled a comprehensive list of the locations the positive youth detention centre workers and their relatives visited.

“They’ve been to many, many different places, as one would expect,” Chief Health Officer Dr Young said.

The Premier is pleading for Queenslanders to thoroughly examine the list, to see if they could have potentially been exposed.

“It is very important that members of the public and families familiarise yourselves with these lists very carefully to see if you have been to any of these places,” she said.

“Please take the time to have a look, if you have been to any of those places and you do have any symptoms, it is very important that you go and get tested.

“Because we all have a05 duty to ensure that we are protecting not only our families but also the broader community at large.”

Anyone who has been to the following locations at the below times are being urged to monitor their health and, if they develop even the mildest of COVID-19 symptoms, get tested.

NSW Health is also currently in the process of contacting passengers who were seated in rows 25 to 29 on flight VA962 from Brisbane to Sydney on 17 August.

“Anyone who was seated in these rows should immediately quarantine and if they develop any COVID-19 symptoms, get tested,” Queensland Health said.

Contact tracers are also working to track down anyone who dined at The Jam Pantry café in Greenslopes between 9.45am and 11am on August 16.

Surfers Paradise is where the real cluster is. The Indians are out in full force spreading the virus. People from Sydney are coming here breaking all the rules and spreading the virus. These are same people that refuse to listen to instructions but have no problem complaining about Australia to everyone. .

Cough
Cough
Fever

Let me wonder around all over Gold Coast and pretend everything is fine and meet friends and eat at restaurants. I am just a Indian who does not care about anyone. I am the kind of millionaire that donates $30 for a funeral but has no problem spending $500 on a pair of shoes. Australian immigration for money is bringing in all kinds of unsavory people who happen to be rich but terrible for Australia.

There are millionaire Indians walking around spreading the COVID.

Oh my god are you for real? The young Australian should take a good long at themselves, partying not keeping the distance instead of being on there phone all the time.Yes I am a Australian born here.

The person below is racist.
