Investigations are underway after seven puppies were found in a box that had been dumped on a beach on the Sunshine Coast.
RSPCA Queensland said that sadly, one of the puppies had already died, however, the other six Australian Cattle dog X puppies were able to be rescued.
The animals, which were found abandoned on the beach in Wurtulla on April 20, are now in the care of the RSPCA.

The incident has left RSPCA inspectors horrified, with inquiries underway to track down those responsible.
“What makes incidents like this so distressing is not just the callous nature of the person who dumped them but the fact that they could have been surrendered to the council or the RSPCA or another rescue organisation,” RSPCA Qld spokesperson Michael Beatty said.
