Pushbike rider suffers ‘significant arm injury’ in Gold Coast crash

A PUSHBIKE rider has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car at a busy intersection on the Gold Coast.

It happened on the corner of Bermuda and Markeri Streets in Mermaid Waters just after 9pm on Friday.

It’s understood the rider, believed to be female, was hit by a car at the intersection and knocked from her bike.


Queensland Ambulance said the patient suffered a significant arm injury, as well as a minor head wound.

She was treated by paramedics at the scene before being transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

The patient was transported in a stable condition.
