Qld cab driver robbed at knifepoint

A MAN is due to face court today after allegedly robbing a taxi driver at knife-point yesterday.

It’s understood the man was being driven in a cab from Annerley to a hotel at Acacia Ridge when he allegedly demanded the driver hand over cash from the till.

When the taxi driver refused, the man allegedly produced a large knife before taking off with cash.

He didn’t get very far before he was taken into custody by police.

The 26-year-old was charged with count of armed robbery and is due to appear in the Richlands Magistrates Court today.
