QLD: Cars damaged, teen hurt at wild house party

CARS have been damaged and suburban streets littered with smashed glass after a house party dramatically spiralled out-of-control in Brisbane overnight.

Police were called to the house on Alexander Street, in the suburb of Lota, just after midnight where around 100 youths had spilled onto the street, damaging approximately 10 cars and littering the road with smashed glass.

Police declared the event ‘out-of-control’ upon arrival and shut down the party.

A 17-year-old sustained an injury to his forehead during the incident.

No charges have yet been laid, with investigations into the incident ongoing.
