A Queensland couple have been rescued by the the RACQ LifeFlight helicopter after being forced to seek refuge on the roof of their home due to rising floodwaters at Cedar Creek, near Mount Glorious this morning.
The man and woman, aged in their 60s, woke to find their home fully flooded and climbed onto the roof for safety after calling emergency services for assistance.
The rescue chopper was called to the scene at 5:46am and the crew managed to winch the couple to safer ground, approximately 300 metres away from their property.

Luckily, they were uninjured and required no medical treatment.
