Qld man among three charged over rape of NSW woman

A Queensland man has been arrested and two others charged over the alleged sexual assault of a woman in Sydney last month.

Detectives were told that the 37-year-old woman met the three men at a bar in Rouse Hill on Saturday, April 24.

The men allegedly took her to a home at Riverstone, where she was sexually assaulted on several occasions by the group into the early hours of Sunday, April 25.


The woman left the home and sought medical attention at Blacktown Hospital the following day before contacting the police.

Following extensive investigations, detectives arrested a 26-year-old man at a home at Riverstone and a 35-year-old man at a home at Valley Heights at about 2pm on Tuesday.

A crime scene was also established at the Riverstone home and a number of items were seized.

Both men have since been charged with six counts of aggravated sexual assault – offender in company with other persons.

The younger man was refused bail and will reappear in Blacktown Local Court on July 1.

The other man was refused bail and will also reappear in the same court on July 2.

Detectives, with help from the Queensland Police Service, have also arrested a 31-year-old man in Brisbane.

He was taken to the Brisbane Watchhouse on Wednesday afternoon and is expected to appear in court this morning where detectives will apply for his extradition to NSW.
