Qld man arrested on child pornography and exploitation charges
A Queensland man has been arrested and charged with child pornography and exploitation offences following a protracted investigation led by the Crime and Corruption Commission.
The CCC alleges the man used peer-to-peer computer software to access child pornography and exploitation material, including image and movie files.
Investigators raided a residential address in Townsville last night and arrested the 43-year-old man.
During a search of the man’s property, officers seized a number of computer and electronic storage devices.
The 43-year-old was taken to the Townsville Watchhouse where he was charged with possessing child exploitation material and using a carriage service to access child pornography material.
He was released on bail to appear before the Townsville Magistrates Court on 3 September.
