Approximately 750 grams of the drug (worth approximately $240,000) was seized as a result of this interception.

The Mackay man was charged with possession of dangerous drugs and appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning.

He was remanded to appear again on September 28.

“Ice continues to be a drug of major concern to police and this seizure was significant in terms of the quantity seized. This drug is extremely dangerous and we encourage anyone with any knowledge of these drugs within the community to call Crime Stoppers,” Detective Inspector Mark Slater of State Crime Command’s Drug and Serious Crime Group said.
