Qld man charged with multiple child sex offences

A man who worked in Queensland’s educational sector for several decades has been charged with a string of alleged child sex offences.

The 48-year-old was arrested by detectives from the Moreton District Child Protection and Investigation Unit on November 25, following an ongoing investigation.

Police allege the historical child sex offences occurred between 1993 and 1997 within the Moreton Bay area.


The man has since been charged with three counts of indecent treatment of child under 16, one count of rape and one count of unlawful intercourse child under 12.

He is expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on December 14.

The investigation remains ongoing, with detectives appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.
