Qld man found guilty of murdering teen more than 30 years ago

A Queensland man has been found guilty of murdering 16-year-old teen Michelle Buckingham more than 30 years ago.

The body of Buckingham was found with 19 stab wounds two weeks after she disappeared while walking home after a night out in Shepparton, Victoria in October 1983.

As a result of new information the cold case was reopened and Bradley was arrested last year and charged.

The court heard Bradley’s brother in-law came forward with information of an alleged confession at the time of the murder.

For three decades Buckingham’s family waited for justice, however her mother died just a week before the trial began.

Today, the Supreme Court jury found Bradley guilty of murder.
