Qld man in induced coma after fall from water tank
A man has been placed into an induced coma and airlifted to hospital after falling about 1.5 metres off the ledge of a water tank on a property near Gympie.
The man, aged in his 50s, suffered serious chest injuries when his body hit a truck parked next to the water tank during the fall just after 6pm last night.
The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to the scene with a critical care paramedic on board.
The man was placed into an induced coma and stabalised at the property before being airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition.
