Two Queensland Police cars have received a vibrant makeover as part of a dual campaign to promote road safety in the lead up to and during the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The vehicles won’t be hard to miss, having been wrapped in bright red and orange Commonwealth Games branding.
“These vehicles are made to be seen, and we know that the presence of high visibility police vehicles has a positive impact on driver behaviour,” Assistant Commissioner Keating said.

The two vehicles will travel around the state over the next year, delivering important road safety messages while also promoting the games.
“The Palaszczuk Government, the Queensland Police Service and GOLDOC are determined to make these the safest and most enjoyable Commonwealth Games ever,” Police Minister Mark Ryan said.
“These vehicles are an excellent way to remind people generally about road safety while also promoting the Commonwealth Games and will be a high profile deterrent on our roads during the busy Games period.”
