Qld police hunting stolen car driven by man ‘armed with rifle’

POLICE are desperately trying to track down a stolen Toyota Landcruiser being driven by a man armed with a rifle in Queensland’s South Burnett region.

The grey Toyota Landcruiser, with Queensland Registration 189-JHY, was stolen from a home in Ironpot early this morning before it was used to ram another car shortly after.

The stolen car remains at large, with officers appealing for help to track down the vehicle and its two occupants.

The driver, a 30-year-old man, is described as Caucasian, approximately 195cms tall with a solid build and brown hair.

His passenger, an 18-year-old woman, is described as Caucasian, approximately 160cm tall with a proportionate build and brown hair.

Residents are being warned to approach the car if sighted, but to call triple zero immediately.

Extensive police patrols are also underway in the area.
