Qld police officer stood down over alleged ‘inappropriate comments to colleagues’

A SENIOR Constable from Road Policing Command has been stood down from official duty with the Queensland Police Service.

The 46-year-old will be tasked to perform non-operational duties.

Queensland Police released a statement on Tuesday morning confirming the officer is subject of an investigation relating to inappropriate physical contact and inappropriate comments to colleagues.

“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct,” they wrote.

“This does not mean that the allegations against the officer have been substantiated.”
