Qld police officers punched and choked in shocking attack

Three police officers have been punched and choked while trying to make an arrest in Slade Point overnight.

Around 8.50pm, police attended a Blackwood Street home as part of investigations into a robbery.

While at the home, police located a man wanted in relation to other matters and took him into custody.

Whilst leading the man out of the house, the officers were punched and choked by another man and woman at the property, with police having to deploy a taser to stop the man choking one of the officers.

During the struggle, the man originally taken into custody ran away.

A 22-year-old Brandon woman has since been charged with two counts of serious assault police and obstruct police as well as one count of serious assault police and one further charge of serious assault police with the stick.

A 40-year-old man has also been charged with two counts of serious assault police.

Investigations are ongoing.
