“Well done Queensland. That’s excellent news.”
The number of active cases across the state now stands at three, with one of those here on the Gold Coast.
Ms Palaszczuk also confirmed that all crew members on board a cargo ship where a positive case was recorded on Monday have been given the all-clear.
“I can also report that the test results of the 18 crew on that cargo ship have all returned a negative result,” the Premier said.
“So that is really good news to hear that those second round of tests for all of the crew on that cargo ship off the Sunshine coast have actually come back negative so that is great.”
In the past 24 hours, more than 7800 people have been swabbed for the virus.
The state total now stands at 1073.
