Qld toddler airlifted to hospital after near drowning in backyard pool

A toddler has been airlifted to hospital after nearly drowning in a backyard pool at Noosa this afternoon.

Emergency crews raced to a home at Noosa North Shore around 12.15pm.

On arrival, paramedics found the toddler conscious and breathing.

An Ambulance spokesperson confirmed the young girl was treated at the scene before being airlifted to Nambour Hospital for treatment. She is in a stable condition.

The incident comes just a day after a six-year-old boy drowned in a backyard pool in Sydney’s south-west.
