A woman has been charged over the death of a 13-month-old baby boy who was found unresponsive at a home in Cairns.
Around 9am on Tuesday September 24, police and paramedics were called to a house at White Rock where they found the infant.
He was rushed to Cairns Base Hospital, but despite the desperate efforts of doctors and paramedics, he died upon arrival.

Following investigations into the death, Detectives from Cairns Child Protection and Investigation Unit arrested a 21-year-old Manoora woman in Townsville today.
She was transported to the Townsville watch house where she was charged with one count each of; manslaughter, torture, trafficking in dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of utensil for use with a dangerous drug, and indecent treatment of a child under 12
She is due to appear in the Townsville Magistrate Court this afternoon.
