Qld woman rammed off the road, chased with machete in horrifying domestic
UPDATE: POLICE have charged a man with attempted murder following a terrifying assault in Wacol this morning.
At about 7.45am, police were called to Monterey Street following reports a man had rammed a woman’s car before chasing her down the street with a machete.
Members of the public came to the woman’s aid by confronting the man with chair legs and a wheelie bin.
A 44-year-old woman received non-life-threatening injuries to her head and neck during the incident.
The man and woman were known to each other.
A 51-year-old man from Acacia Ridge has been charged with one count each of attempted murder, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, going armed so as to cause fear and common assault.
He is due to appear in Richlands Magistrates Court tomorrow, September 11.

At about 7.45am, police were called to Monterey Street in Wacol following reports a man had rammed a woman’s car.
Information received suggests the man then chased the woman on foot down Monterey Street with a machete.
Members of the public came to the woman’s aid by confronting the man with brooms and a wheelie bin.
The woman received non-life-threatening injuries to her head and neck during the incident.
She is being treated in Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital.
