#QLDVotes: More than 2 million voters tipped to hit the polls on Saturday
MORE than two million Queenslanders are expected to flock to the polls tomorrow in the 2017 state election.
A little over 3.1 million residents are registered to vote, however, almost 20 percent of those chose to beat the queues and cast their vote early at pre-polling stations across the state.
Voting is compulsory and was changed to a full preferential system for state elections in April 2016, meaning voters will now have to number every box on the ballot paper, starting with a 1.
Polling booths will operate from 8am to 6pm.
