Queensland considering hard border closures to NSW again

There are fears a hard border between New South Wales and Queensland is imminent, as other states begin closing their borders to the whole state.

It comes after another 77 coronavirus cases were diagnosed in the Greater Sydney region yesterday, despite the whole city being in lockdown for two weeks now.

Tragically, a person in their 90s also passed away from the virus.

The escalating situation has caused other states to bring in harsh travel restrictions to the whole of New South Wales, to ensure the virus isn’t able to spread any further.

Victoria has overnight closed their borders to the whole state and to the ACT as well.

Authorities yesterday said that they are still closely monitoring the situation.

We should know more in this morning’s Queensland press conference.
