More jobseekers have found work in Queensland.
ABS figures show the rate fell slightly to 6.4 per-cent, seasonally adjusted, in May.
The result is the third worst in Australia, behind South Australia which has the highest unemployment rate of 6.9 per cent and Tasmania in second spot.

Nationally the result held steady at 5.7 per cent.
Treasurer Curtis Pitt said the latest jobless figures underline the need for our job-creating initiatives in the State Budget.
“In particular the State Budget outlines $40 billion four-year infrastructure program with $10.7 billion earmarked for 2016-17 creating an estimated 31,000 jobs,” Mr Pitt said.
“The rise in the trend jobless rate for May to 6.4 per cent from a revised 6.3 per cent in April highlights the need for Governments at all levels to focus on job creation.
“While the new unemployment rate of 6.4 per cent is still 0.2 per cent lower than when the former LNP Government was voted out of office, we know more needs to be done for our state’s regions and we’re investing in jobs and key infrastructure projects.
“The unemployment rate fell according to the more volatile Seasonally Adjusted measure – down to 6.4 per cent in May 2016 from 6.5 per cent in April – although this data is considered unreliable month-on-month.
“Since the State election 43,700 jobs have been created in Queensland and business confidence is returning to our state but it’s clear that this positive story is not being shared evenly to all corners of our state.
“The Palaszczuk Government is determined to do better and we’re putting out money where our mouth is in the 2016-17 Budget.
“That’s why our $100 million ‘Back to Work’ will give regional employers who hire an eligible unemployed person a $10,000 payment, up to $15,000 for a long-term unemployed person who has been looking for work for more than 12 months.”
The Back to Work Regional Jobs Package is available in areas outside South East Queensland and includes:
$80 million for support payments for employers to take on regional jobseekers, including those disadvantaged in the labour market, such as the long-term unemployed, young people, mature aged jobseekers, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders;
$10 million for the Certificate 3 Guarantee Boost Program that will see more Queenslanders able to access subsidised courses to obtain jobs; and
$10 million for Back to Work officers who know the local economy and local employers, and can connect employers and jobseekers to opportunities and support, including through Regional Employment Networks.
