A mother will have to pay the price of her son’s alleged crime.
The Queensland Supreme Court has ordered Elizabeth Turner to cough up $315,000 or be put in jail for a year.
It’s part of a $450,000 surety for her son, Markis Scott Turner, who is facing drugs charges but has failed to appear in court several times, including for his trial last year.

Justice Peter Flanagan has today told Ms Turner she had six months to pay, or she’ll end up behind bars.
