Queensland records one new COVID case

Queensland has recorded one new case of COVID-19 but officials say it’s not a concern.

A person in hotel quarantine tested positive to the virus overnight.

It takes the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic to 1157.

But there are just eight cases that are still active across Queensland.

Testing rates on Saturday were low with just 3040 carried out.

A total of 1,097,964 tests have now been carried out across the state since the start of outbreak.
