Queensland to hand out another 36,000 travel vouchers

The Queensland government has announced another round of tourism vouchers, but the Gold Coast has missed out again.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has confirmed that 36,000 travel vouchers will be made available for holidaymakers in Brisbane and the Whitsundays, valued at $100 and $200.

They’ll give visitors 50 per cent off at selected accommodation or tourism experiences, in an effort to boost domestic tourism in heavily affected areas.

30,000 of the $100 vouchers will be available across Greater Brisbane, Scenic Rim and the Moreton Bay islands, while 6,000 of the $200 vouchers will be available to people staying in the Whitsundays from May 4.

It’s not a hand out!
Someone has to pay and it will be you and I, more taxes and government charges.
Money would be better spent on alleviating ambulance and hospital waiting times.
Simply popular vote catching and not means tested.
Tourism operators have jacked up their prices to take advantage of the tax payer funded $$$.

You will now need the voucher to subsidise the exorbitant price hikes that have occurred during the past few months. Flights and accommodation prices have increased by 50%.

I WISH THIS b**** WOULD STOP f***ING OVER THE GOLD COAST WE’RE ONLY GOOD ENOUGH FOR HER WHEN SHE WANTS US TO BE

Sorry for swearing but this idiot in power is tripping over it and her blown up head

Looking like a bit of an idiot yourself, the website clearly says GC is coming up soon.

Its not a case of which area gets the hand out ,its our money she is handing out so you elect her next time.Wait til the budget is released and it will show a massive deficit ,massive borrowings, and no doubt our energy and water bills will continue to be even higher

Rubbish, prices over inflated, why is this a lottery? Every adult should get a dinner or entertainment or travel voucher.trains or buses included.NSW has given every adult. I serached queensland .com cant find where to enter…what do seniors or pensioners that dont use internet do? Fix our hospital system and especially the train line from Brisbane to Sydney. Passengers thst were travelling from Brisbane to Sydney were disgusted and said the travel was worse than in 3rd world countries. Anastasia you need to do more for Queenslanders
