Queensland woman among the injured in London terror attack

A Brisbane woman is recovering in a London Hospital after being injured in the deadly terror attack yesterday.

It’s been reported that one of the terrorists held Candice Hedge’s head and slashed her throat in the attack, but missed her windpipe and arteries.

In a Facebook post yesterday the 30-year-old wrote, “hey everyone, just so you know I’m doing ok. Bit of pain but I will survive. Thanks for your thoughts and well wishes. Love to all”.

She’s one of two Australians known to have been caught up in the deadly rampage that started on London Bridge and ended in the bar and restaurant district of Burough Market.

Seven people were killed and 48 wounded when three men launched the attack just after 10pm on Saturday local time.

Police shot the three terrorists dead within eight minutes of the violence erupting.

The second Australian victim is reportedly Darwin man, Andrew Morrison who was stabbed after leaving Belushi’s bar in London Bridge.
