Queenslanders can now book their vaccine via the Check In app

It’s now become even easier to get vaccinated in Queensland, with bookings now available via the Check In Qld app.

There’s now a vaccination link in the app that will allow users to register for a vaccination.

It can also help them find a walk-in venue or locate the nearest GP or pharmacy that will administer a vaccine as well.

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says now is the time for people to come forward.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for people to get vaccinated whether they’re walking in at our hubs or booking an appointment online,” the Premier posted on Facebook this morning.

“The Check In Qld app has been downloaded nearly 5 million times so we’re using the platform to make it easy to book in.

“Users should ensure they update to the latest version of the app to see the new vaccination button on the home screen.”

It comes as the Gold Coast becomes the first location in the state to have a drive-through vaccination clinic.

Newscorp reports that Amtan Medical has a pop-up facility running in Pimpama near the Strawberry Farm site.

It’s open three days a week and can jab up to 500 people a day. However, it’s run by appointment only.
