Queensland’s State of Origin Game 1 team announced
The Queensland side for the 2018 State of Origin series opener has today been revealed.
Maroons Coach Kevin Walters confirmed the new-look 18 man squad at a press conference on Monday.
Greg Inglis has been named as Queensland’s new captain, taking over from Cameron Smith who announced his retirement from representative football last week.
Brisbane Bronco Andrew McCullough is one of three players who will be making their origin debut at the MCG next Wednesday, along with Felise Kaufusi and Jai Arrow.
In a shock move, Matt Scott and Darius Boyd were both left out of the side.
