Quick-thinking girl has man escorted from pool for alleged indecent assault

A man has spent the night behind bars, accused of indecently assaulting a girl at a Sydney pool.

The alleged incident happened around 8pm on Friday at the aquatic centre at Sydney Olympic Park.

The quick-thinking 11-year-old immediately told her mother what had happened.


She then notified staff, who escorted a 44-year-old man from the pool and contacted police.

Officers arrived a short time later and arrested the man, who was later charged with two counts of indecent assault person under 16 years of age.

The man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.
