Radio Lollipop calling for volunteers

Want to help bring a smile to sick children in hospital? Can you spare three hours a week? Then Radio Lollipop wants to hear from you!

The charity is looking for Gold Coasters to join their passionate team of volunteers to provide care, comfort, play and entertainment for children in hospital.

Radio Lollipop’s East Coast Fundraising Coordinator Tani Stubbs told myGC volunteers need to be 18 or older.

“Whether you are a university student or a retiree, we want to hear from you!” she said.

“You don’t need to have any prior experience as we will provide you with all the training you need to help make kids lives happier in hospitals.”

Ms Stubbs said being a Radio Lollipop volunteer is very rewarding.

“The difference our volunteers make is huge. They brighten the lives of young patients by providing fun, friendship and support,” she said.
