GOLD Coasters are likely to get wet this afternoon, as a rain band marches towards the Southeast Coast.
Isolated showers and areas of rain are likely, with the chance of thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening.

At midday, moderate rain was situated roughly 80km to the west of the Gold Coast, moving in a general easterly direction.
Unfortunately, not a lot of rain is forecast to fall over the Gold Coast, with the weather bureau going for just a few millimetres.
Temperatures are expected to peak between 18-20C today, before expected overnight lows of 6-11C.
The sun will return on Thursday, with blue skies and tops between 21-22C forecast.
