IZAK Rankine has capped off a stellar debut for the Gold Coast Suns by scoring the Round 6 Rising Star nomination.
A run of injuries has kept Rankine on the sidelines since he was drafted with pick three back in 2018, but the exciting small forward showed it was worth the wait with an impressive three-goal performance against Melbourne on Saturday night.
The 20-year-old also had 12 disposals and three tackles and became the first player to kick more than two goals on debut for the Gold Coast.

Rankine is now the third Sun to be nominated this season with young guns Matt Rowell and Connor Budarick also scoring nominations in Rounds 2 and 3.
The Gold Coast Suns haven’t had three nominees in a season since their inaugural year in 2011, where they had four nominated.
Jaeger O’Meara is the only Sun to have won the award, grabbing the title back in 2013.
He's Rankine highly! Congratulations Izak Rankine, this week's NAB AFL Rising Star Nominee ⭐️
